Talent Envy

I have an old friend from high school that I have connected with thanks to the networking site we all know as Facebook. I was looking at pictures of his gorgeous family and commented on how beautiful the pics were of his daughter. It was then that I found out he was the magic man behind the camera. He told me that photography was a hobby of his and that he has a small photography business.

He was gracious enough to take time away from his own family one hot, humid summer day in August and spend several hours with my family taking shot after shot of the kids as they gallivanted around at the beach and on the playground.

I received the proofs from the shoot the other day and all I can say is "Holy Talent Envy!" The shots came out superb! He has a great eye and works wonders with children, making them relaxed and comfortable. Here are a few of my favorites! What do you think? His name is David Volkmann.
