You gotta love this girl...
I swear there is no one else on the planet like her except maybe her father.
We stopped in to the local grocery store the other night to pick up a couple things for dinner.
First stop, produce dept. and I grab a head of lettuce, put it in my arms and off we go to the seafood dept.
While waiting to be served, I call the coach and double check what he wants for dinner. I turn my back to be somewhat discreet and respectful to the man who is currently being waited on in front of me. I finish my phone conversation and turn back around.
The athlete is standing there checking out the lobsters in the tank and the princess is not with him. I turn slightly to my left and spot her...
ON HER KNEES INSIDE SOMEONE ELSE'S CARRIAGE!
There she is carefully taking this poor man's items out of the cart and stacking them up on top of one another in the empty child seat of the carriage.
I gasp and half whisper/half shout, "That's not our carriage, get outta there!"
The princess looks mortified and springs out of the carriage and into my arms like a friggin' baby gorilla and almost knocks me to the ground. She looks up at me at justifies her little indiscretion with the reply...
"Well they had lettuce too ya know!"
I'm now laughing so loud and so hard that I have drawn attention to us. I don't even care at this point anymore. It was that funny.
"Sweetheart I say, we don't even have a carriage, I'm carrying the lettuce!"

ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious! My kids have accidentally grabbed the wrong cart, but they've never jumped into it. Yet. lol
